Travel Tips

When Travelling During Your Vacation
By:Greg K. Hansward

If you are travelling to a specific place or at a specific time, it is most useful if you get a reservation before hand! In fact, the best way to plan your trip is to look to see who offers the best package, or who has cheap reservations without any hassle!

When planning your vacation, there are many things that you can do to make sure that you get where you want to go or what you want for a cheaper price! In fact, the first thing that you can do is plan your vacation during the off season. During the off peak seasons, the hotels, car rentals, as well as many airlines offer much cheaper prices and tickets. In fact, some of them are up to 50% cheaper! Also, some hotels give discounts to people that are senior citizens, honeymooners, military personnel, or even students.

Another thing you can do is stay at hotels/motels where kids are free! If you are a family with 2 or 3 kids, that could save you a lot of money! Also, if you are not very picky about the location of the hotel, you may use name your price websites to find cheaper hotels; such as Price-Line or Travelocity. Other wise if you may rent a car if you are staying at a distant hotel. Also, many times hotels will give you a "free night" for staying there for a certain amount of time! Another possibility is staying at a hotel that is a little distance away that is cheaper rather than in the middle the attractions; it is a great way to save money!

When renting a room, you will want to make sure that you are not paying for any unwanted surcharges or extra fees that weren't mentioned. Before you reserve your room, you will want to ask about those as well as keeping an eye out at check out time!

Many times people will also turn in their frequent flyer miles for hotels or car rentals, as well! You may want to see which hotels except the flyer miles! Also, many hotels are now providing free service rides to and from the airport; therefore, you may want to see which ones offer that service so you can save money!

If you are planning a vacation and do not want to go during off season, then it would be best to do some looking around first! Also, it is possible to find some reasonable rates during the weekend; all you have to do is look and plan ahead! Also, it is equally important to always remember to get your confirmation numbers!!
