I am a friendly professional ESL tutor from Canada with over 20 years' experience helping adult intermediate and advanced students.

Free first lesson (1 hour).

I tutor both online and in person. It's very easy to learn English with me online: I use Skype (free long distance over the Internet) and Google Docs during my lessons. (Google Docs is like an online blackboard, where you can read what I write and vice versa.) You pay with PayPal or with a credit card via PayPal. I tutor everyday English, academic English, and professional/business English, including the TOEFL and IELTS. I can help you improve your speaking, writing, listening, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, idioms, and phrasal verbs.

Because many of my students have a hard time expressing themselves in English, I am especially interested in helping my students improve their speaking. I can help you find your “voice” in English so that you can explain your thoughts, ideas, and feelings with more confidence.

During my lessons, I try to create a comfortable and stimulating environment where my students can focus on learning and have fun at the same time.

I am enthusiastic, patient, and have a good sense of humour. I also really love English!

Free first lesson (1 hour).

I have two types of lessons, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 lessons, where you choose the content of each lesson (I will help you with this), are $25/hour in Canadian dollars. Type 2 lessons, which I prepare and/or give you homework for, are $35/hour in Canadian dollars. You might have to buy a book for a Type 2 lesson.
