My name is Cassi Key and I am an American ESL teacher. I currently work in Wuhan, China for Shane English. I have been teaching English for almost 3 years now here in China. My current contract ends in December 2016 and I am looking for a position where I can continue doing what I love but online. I am looking for an Academic Administration or Curriculum Design position.I have applied to 7 online companies been hired and discovered their material does not meet international standards for teaching English as a second language and so I have turned down all positions. I am a firm believer in strong core curriculum and proper teaching methods and would love to find a company hiring in their Academic Administration department. I am TEFL certified with a focus on Young Learners and have been accepted into a DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching Adults) program in Madrid, Spain during February2017 (the DELTA is designed for teachers who wish to instruct CELTA courses and teaching methods).

After a year of working in a Montessori kindergarten moved to work for Shane English Wuhan as a Assistant Academic Manager for two years and my duties include training new teachers, designing intensive class programing, dissolving disputes, customer service, teacher evaluations, and basic managerial responsibilities. Having the opportunity to work for Shane has given me a deep understanding the essential role programming serves in any school. Shane was founded in 1977 and has more than 300 campuses across the globe in Japan, China, the UK, Taiwan, Vietnam, Algeria, Thailand, and Indonesia. For almost 30 years Shane has been developing specified courses designed to strengthen each individual countries needs (for example in China there is no "th" sound or that Chinese students must focus more on prepositions and He/She/It due to a lack of an equivalent in their native language). During the last year and a half, Shane China has issued new programming and my Academic Manager and myself have played a key role in the editing and formatting of these new materials..
