Four times a year, in January, March, July, and September, a small group of international students gather around my seminar table to learn and practice the conventions of academic English. For twelve weeks they engage in advanced English language training prior to beginning university study abroad. They learn the structure of English--what it is, how it is put together, and how it works. Most importantly, they learn how to effectively express their ideas in written and spoken English.

Students in the twelve-week English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program participate in intensive seminars that strengthen and enrich the following core academic areas:
Reading and vocabulary development
Pronunciation comprehensibility
English grammar and structure
Composition and rhetoric
Research, presentation, and debate
Autonomous learning

We offer EAP/university preparation seminars that meet international standards of excellence for a fraction of what you would pay in Canada, the United States, Australia, or the United Kingdom.
