My name is Amy, and I am a Cambridge CELTA qualified English teacher from the United States. I offer private English lessons over Skype. I customize each lesson to meet your needs and fit your learning style.

I have years of experience teaching one-to-one and group classes to students of all different backgrounds. I have also worked for an American university as an English writing tutor and taught conversational, general, and business English to students in Japan. I hold a bachelor's degree in English with a focus on English writing, and I was certified by the British Council to teach English as a Second Language.

I understand many students have several goals around learning English such as taking an English exam or using English for work. Many students also would like to speak and write English with confidence. Therefore, I teach using the communicative language method along with the task-based learning method. This means I focus on English communication, especially speaking and writing in real-world situations.
