OBJECTIVE: To use my strong education and language skills as well as teaching experience to teach English to many fine students!
EXPERIENCE:
Book Editing: Edited a biography of an important Tibetan Rinpoche in order to help a Taiwanese citizen who needed the book that was originally written in Chinese edited by a native English speaker.
Teaching:
Camps in Taiwan
I have taught 3rd-6th graders in English camp at Qing-Lian Elementary school in Taipei. This involved communicating basic language skills and encouraging the students to speak and improve in all areas.
I have taught for American Eagle Institute. It was a winter Camp in January and February of 2014.
Experience in Taiwan: (March 2013 to March 2014) ESL Teacher to wide range of students ages 8-16 at Elite International Educational Education Organization in New Taipei City.
Experience in Thailand: Taught from October 2014 to October 2015 at medium size government school in Chiang Mai. Taught Pratom 1 and Pratom 2 English, Math, and Science all through the medium of the English language. The program at the school was called the Mini English Program (MEP) and focused on teaching three different classes in English language to allow students to have more exposure to the language.
Tutoring: Child and Adult students from Mainland China staying in Kathmandu Nepal. Tutoring various students in Nepal and India and recent immigrants to America. Tutoring several young Taiwanese students in Taipei
Online teaching: I have been teaching conversational and business English to Chinese students from college age up to older adults since November 2015.
SKILLS:
-Teaching kids from the children to adults the English language.
-Presenting English learning material in a fun and easy to understand way.
-Communicating complex language concepts to non-native speakers while making them feel comfortable to open up and speak in order to better learn a language.
