Samantha is from a family of teachers and although she fought it for years was destined to become a California school teacher from birth. After receiving her BA in English and California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential she taught English to non-native students in the public schools of California’s central valley which she found rewarding as well as profitable to work for and receive her English as a Second Language teacher’s certification. After teaching children from immigrant families for almost ten years she left the classroom to work on her MA in Education, which she completed in 2010. Since then she has been teaching international students over Skype

She is found to be an empathetic teacher, always working to understand where her students are having problems and developing solutions to help them get over their hurdles. Her ability to understand what the student’s issues are, allow her to develop creative curriculum to suit each individual’s English language needs.

She has had a wide range of experiences teaching students from a variety of countries and has been teaching business English, IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC preparation as well as basic conversation for some time. She absolutely loves teaching and waking up each morning for work. Samantha or Sam as many of her friends and students call her, lives in Northern California in the forest, by the ocean with her husband and two cats.
