Personal
I was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Boulder, Colorado. In the course of my life, I have lived extensively in Alaska, with shorter residencies in Switzerland, Turkey, and China. At present I live in Chiang Rai, Thailand and Dayton, Ohio U.S.A.

Special Interests
I am an artist – literally and philosophically – mixed with a blend of entrepreneur, humanitarian, and environmental activities. I also embrace and enjoy traditional art forms such as book writing and self-publishing, poems, watercolor and ink paintings, stained glass, organic gardening, and cooking. Musically, I continue to learn and enjoy the guitar, piano, musical saw, and piano.

Projects I am currently engaged in are human rights issues for Burmese/Myanmar refugee children, U.S. refugee resettlement assistance, world wide environmental issues, vegetarian activities and organic/permaculture farming. I am also a volunteer teacher and tutor (English).

Special Accomplishments
Big brother and foster parent for handicapped Yu’pik Eskimo youths.
I sponsored a Vietnamese refugee in 1985 and helped him establish educational skills,
employment goals, and a new home.
Volunteered English teaching to Thai and Burmese refugee children in Thailand.
Wrote and self published Thai Traveller’s Language Guide (sponsored by Thai Airways)
Yup’ik (Central Eskimo) Language Guide and various poems, lyrics, and songs.

Continuing Projects and Objectives
Developing a small organic farm and self sufficiency complex in Thailand.
Progress with volunteer and activism efforts.
Expand my horizons with continued international travel.
Extensive training and participation in the futures and commodities industry.
Refurbishing a house in Dayton, Ohio.
Further my self publishing and books projects.

Education and Training
I attended high school in Boulder, Colorado. In addition, I moved to Basel, Switzerland, and traveled throughout Europe extensively embracing a “self taught” education program of learning languages, visiting a variety of important historical and cultural venues, and perhaps most importantly meeting an immense variety of individuals; artists, authors, scholars, and many others who provided me with special tutoring and mentorship.

My fascination and love of languages began during my time in Europe. Since then I have embraced the learning of foreign languages wherever I travel; in particular Yup’ik Eskimo, Thai, German, and French. I also posses some knowledge of Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Turkish. The ability to communicate in a foreign language is not only academic and communicative, but also enables one to express oneself in different ways. As for English, I enjoy teaching in an effort to help students progressively develop his/her education and progress with education and career goals.
