Position:
freelance online ESOL Tutor
Pay:
£12-16/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Job description:

To provide online support to speakers of other languages via skype, email and our online platform.
To deliver online lessons (mainly speaking/listening) in accordance with the ESOL curriculum.
Tutors are freelancers working from home, providing support to multicultural students based in and out of the UK.
Tutors must have a PC and reliable (fast) internet connection, with camera and microphone.
Flexible working hours vary from 8 am to 9 pm, weekdays and Saturdays. The position is part-time initially, with the potential of becoming a full-time job for the right candidate.

Person specification:

Essential:
•level 5 or above Teaching qualification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA etc.)
•in depth knowledge of the ESOL curriculum
•Bachelors degree
•12 months tutor experience
•IT literate (proficient in using MS office, skype, email etc.)
•at least one professional reference
•professional, organised, empathetic
•able to motivate students
•reliable, responsible, easy-going
•understand cultural and social barriers students may face
•have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one

Desirable:

~to have experience with IELTS preparation
~to be able to provide a second reference
