I am a friendly ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor from Canada with 20 years’ experience helping adult (no children) intermediate and advanced students.

I tutor everyday English, academic English, and professional/business English, including the TOEFL and IELTS. I can help you improve your speaking, writing, listening, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, etc.

Because many of my students have a hard time expressing themselves in English, I am especially interested in helping my students improve their speaking. I can help you find your “voice” in English so that you can explain your thoughts, ideas, and feelings with more confidence.

During my lessons, I try to create a comfortable and stimulating environment where my students can focus on learning and have fun at the same time.

I am enthusiastic, patient, and have a good sense of humour. I also really love English!

I have two types of lessons, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 lessons, where you choose the content of each lesson, are $25/hour (in Canadian dollars, NOT American) ($35 for 1.5 hours). Type 2 lessons, which I prepare and/or give you homework for, are $35/hour (in Canadian dollars) ($50 for 1.5 hours). You might have to buy a book for a Type 2 lesson.
