We, at the Chiang Mai University Language Institute, believe in creating an authentic cross-cultural learning experience for both participants and hosts, free from commercialization.

There is a one-time placement fee to cover our administrative costs for this program. There are no additional charges for extending a volunteer period.

There are many possibilities available to you such as teaching kids at a local school, a rural village school, or an orphanage. Teaching monks at a temple school or Buddhist University. Teaching refugees or other disadvantaged people.

No teaching qualification? Don't worry, we also offer TEFL on-line and TEFL in-house certification courses in combination with a volunteer placement.

Our main focus is teaching English but other options are available as well such as working with elephants, dog rescue, health care etc. We work on an individual basis and are happy to help finding you your preferred volunteer experience.

After completing your volunteer period you'll receive a certificate from the Language Institute, Chiang Mai University with hours of volunteering completed and an unforgettable experience!
