Finding topics to write an argumentative paper on shouldn't be hard because in one way or another; we encounter many issues in our everyday lives that are worthy of discussion. Just take a second and think about the news stories you heard this morning; or the night before. How did you feel about those topics? Did you agree; disagree or were you inspired to dig deeper and expand on a particular issue or topic?

Friends and co-workers can also be a great source of topics to debate and explore in an argumentative essay. Sometimes you can even pick up on topics to write an argumentative paper on from conversations you over hear while walking down the street, or while riding the bus or subway.

The more knowledgeable you become, the more credible you will appear, thus making it easier for you to persuade your readers so when researching topics to write an argumentative paper on it is important to choose topics that you find interesting of feel strongly about.

If you can manage to tie your passion and research into your paper you will be sure to not only earn an excellent grade, but also touch some hearts and minds while swaying people toward your point of view.
