We have several openings for experienced university English instructors for the next academic year.
The ideal person will have a passion for teaching and a love for helping students.
You should have an undergraduate degree, a teaching certificate (CELTA/TESL/TEFL) and at least two years of teaching experience. Of particular interest are candidates with skills teaching in public speaking, drama, singing, and movies. We are also looking for instructors with a post graduate degree in English or linguistics for our Joint China-USA dual degree program.

What Will You Teach?
As part of our team of instructors, you will help undergraduate and graduate students develop their communications skills in English: including speaking and listening. Basic teaching hours are 16 classes per week.

What We Have to Offer:
Our compensation package includes a base salary of 7,000 to 11,000 RMB per month, paid monthly, a furnished apartment, travel allowance, medical insurance coverage and an annual return flight from your home country to Lanzhou. Start date August 28, 2017.

Who Are We?
The Northwest Minzu University (NWMU) is a national university located in the city of Lanzhou. NWMU’s student body is made up of 29,000 young people from every one of China’s 56 ethnic groups including the Tibetan, Uyghur, Hui, Mongol people and come from all over China. Many of these students are the first generation within their communities to have access to tertiary education. Much of their study and research helps identify and preserve the distinctive characteristics of their rich cultural heritage.
