Position Vacant: 1~2 Fulltime English Teacher(s) for Elementary School

Eligibility:
- Be a citizen of a country where English is the primary language based on visa eligibility of Yantai Immigration law
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Salary Offered:
- Basic Salary : 10,000RMB per month (120,000RMB per year) before-tax
- Housing : 3,000RMB for 1~2 family member(s), 3,500RMB for more than 3 family members per month
- 500RMB for teaching certification or 300RMB for TESOL or TEFL etc
- Completion bonus : 9,000RMB before-tax
- Experience and qualification remuneration based on the established school scale will be added to the basic salary
- Yearly incentive bonus based on performance
- For applicants from overseas a one-way economy fare is provided
- School lunch and commuter bus is provided for free

Preferred:
- Have two years full-time teaching in a school
- Education degree
- Teaching license
- Certification in Subject Areas

Position Description:
Contract Period: August 19, 2017~August 18, 2018(Teachers may renew their contract with
mutual written agreement.)
Working Days: Monday-Friday (working regulation is equally applied to Korean and foreign
teachers during Summer vacation (30 days) and winter vacation (50 days).
Teaching Hours: 20 teaching hours a week, one teaching hour is 40 minutes
Working Hours: 8:10 a.m. - 4:40 p.m.
Term of Contract: One year probationary contract, with the possibility of renewal.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
 Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
 Observe and evaluate student performance and development
 Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school
 Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities and extra English activities
 Participate in department and parent meetings
 Co- coordinate with fellow teachers, assistants and other professionals
 Willing to participate in afternoon classes(held within school hours, 2~4times a week with additional pay)

Description of position:
The native English teachers are given a set of books for the class to teach speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. They teach several different grades with conversation typically to lower levels and immersion to higher levels. Teachers correct student essays and help each other to make various contests such as speaking contests, portfolio writing, pop song contest and so on. Teachers will have a small class less than 20 students who have the similar English skills.

School Background
Yantai Korean School has been an established school since 2001 and is authorized by both Korean and Chinese governments. There are roughly 700 students raging from 1st grade to 12th grade with around 100 staff members within the school. The school provides its teachers with lunch and transportation to and from the school.
