You can do it, it is just more difficult than most other professions with college degrees. Teaching pays fine, it just does not pay as well as other jobs that require a degree. My parents were both teachers, we went on many trips all over the US and Caribbean. My husband and I are both teachers, he for 5 years, myself for 3. We make more than the average household income where we live already. Unless you live in a very wealthy place, you will make more than the average household.

But if you are not completely dedicated to education, don't do it. Unless you love the job you will hate the work....meaning, if you don't love working with kids every single day, you will be unhappy and from my perspective, happiness is worth more than money.
