Songyuan Foreign Studies College was formally known as Songyuan Eastern Star Foreign Language School, which was founded in 2004. Since the beginning of this year, under the supervision of both the Songyuan City bureau and Jilin Provincial Department, it changed its name to Songyuan Foreign Studies College.

Thus our school became the first academic foreign language school, which offers a three year education.

It also is the only educational organization that can recruit foreign teachers; at the present time there are only 37 schools including Jilin University and Northeast Normal University that are able to do so.

Our school is also an organization with the highest level of foreign language teaching, scientific research and translation.

Our school has always offered a high quality schooling since it was founded. We have hired foreign teachers in all from America, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Russia, Philippines, Israel, Uzbekistan and Germany.
