My name is Emin Gölemen. I have recently arrived to Bangkok with my wife Merve, who is also seeking an English teaching position. We are staying near Phra Khanong BTS Station on Sukhumvit Road, and available for interviews and teaching demos.

Both universities I attended use English as their language of instruction and are international schools with American-style curricula. I worked as a peer-tutor during my undergraduate years, tutoring fellow students one-on-one for academic writing in English and for literature classes. During my masters, I also worked as a teaching assistant, gave college-level lectures in English to classes of 30 students, and graded students’ essays, homeworks and exams. As a non-native who acquired near-native English proficiency, I know how challenging but also rewarding learning English to speak, read, and write properly and fluently. I wish to travel to Thailand and teach others who want to learn English like I did in the past.

In addition to teaching English as a foreign language, I am willing to attend to after-hour classes and extracurricular activities relating to my skills and interests. I have trained in visual arts, and can give basic art and design courses, both in traditional and digital forms. I am a proficient swimmer, and I play basketball, volleyball and soccer. Moreover, I can teach how to cook many dishes from different cuisines around the world, and I am a role-playing games and board games enthusiast, willing to share my interests with my students.
