PROFILE
I am looking for a teaching position in Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam or Thailand in order to experience the culture of South East Asia as well as to enrich the lives of my students.

I am an incredibly caring and passionate person who strives to create happiness and go the extra mile in all that I do. I am extraordinarily friendly, hard-working and driven. I am easily adaptable, can relate well to all age groups and especially enjoy looking after children. Although I portray assertive leadership qualities, I am a great team member and above all strive to maintain a positive attitude.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Completed IEB Schooling system with Academic Honours
• Bachelor of Business Science Degree majoring in Finance from the University of Cape Town RSA
• TEFL 140 hour certification

CHILD CARE EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
• January 2006 – December 2008
Volunteer – Edith Benson Orphanage – Durban, South Africa
During my years of high school, I was avidly involved with a community outreach program at the local orphanage. This involved creating physical games for the children to play, assisting them with creative activities and helping the older students with their homework.

• January 2012 – December 2012
Volunteer – Groote Schuur Crèche – Cape Town, South Africa
During my final year of studies at the University of Cape Town, I volunteered at the University’s Groote Schuur crèche. This mainly involved assisting the teachers with whatever assignments they needed help with. Activities included Physical Education games, designing homework tasks and general childcare.

• June 2013 – October 2013
Nanny and Stewardess – Super Yacht Netanya 8 – Mediterranean
During my first Mediterranean season on board Netanya 8, I spent a great deal of time with the owner’s young children in a nanny and educational role. This involved all aspects of tutoring, service and entertaining them onboard as well as ashore. I had to be very creative with my ideas, as not only was I in charge of planning the logistics around the excursions but had to keep them high paced and exciting, such as helicopter rides, water parks, roller coasters and aquariums.

• January 2014 – June 2014
Stewardess – Super Yacht Odyssey – Caribbean
During my season on board Odyssey, I assisted the boss’s nanny with all aspects of childcare while the family was on board. This primarily included keeping the children entertained by designing activities such as creative drawing and arts & craft.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND INTERESTS

• Throughout school I was not only a responsible Prefect and achieved Academic Honours but was House Captain and part of the first team in hockey, tennis and swimming.
• I have always been interested in helping the community, volunteering for outreach programs and especially empowering children.
• Whilst completing my Finance degree in Cape Town, I became an avid cyclist completing many local races.
• My hobbies include photography, traveling, reading and cooking. I lead an active and exciting life filled with surfing, yoga, hiking and snowboarding.
