Dubai Holidays - Have an Exciting Vacation in the City of Gold
By:John Newcomb

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Dubai is quite possibly, the richest and the most luxurious holiday destination in the world. Grown virtually out of a desert, this oil rich state has created some of the modern world's architectural wonders. If you thought size was an American fixation, wait until you see Dubai. From the airport to the sky high hotels to the gigantic shopping malls, everything in Dubai is big and grand.

Location wise, Dubai is situated in the North-Eastern parts of the Arabian Peninsula - a dry and harsh land. It takes about six-seven hours to fly in from London, 12 hours from New York. There are plenty of flights all around the year.

Dubai is breathtaking in its very scope. The list of things to see here are endless. Enjoy a night out at the Dubai Emirates Mall with its 400 meter long ski slope, or if you have the cash, a couple of days in the Burj Dubai hotel. In the afternoon, hit Old Dubai with its forts and ancient markets. If you are feeling adventurous, you can ride a quad bike or souped up SUV across the Dubai sand dunes.

Duabi is a virtual paradise for shoppers. The scope and scale of malls in this tiny state is astounding. Check out the Dubai Mall - the world's largest mall - for a never ending shopping spree. If you are looking to buy high end fashion brands, jewellery, or niche luxury items, this is the place to go.

Foodies will fall in love with Dubai. A very cosmopolitan city, Dubai is home to Indians, Chinese, Germans, Americans, and people from every nationality imaginable. Consequently, the cuisine of Dubai has something to offer to everyone, from Lebanese kebabs to Indian curries, you will definitely find something to please your palate here.
