By:John Edmunds

So you're planning a trip to London?

That's great! London is a fantastic place and I know you will have an amazing time here. In this article I am going to tell you the best places to go, so when you arrive you already have a few ideas.

Ok so what are the best places to visit?

1. Borough Market

This is a great place to go if you want to relax and maybe have something to eat or drink. I would recommend you go here when the weather is nice. The market itself sells a wide range of delicious foods and beverages. Just behind the market is the river where you can relax at one of the numerous bars and restaurants.

2. The Tate Modern

If you like art then you should definitely visit The Tate Modern. You can actually see most of the gallery for free but sometimes certain sections are closed off and you may have to pay a small fee. It is a huge place and is great for a day out.

3. Covent Garden

This is another fun place to go and is full of shops, restaurants, bars, museums and street performers. It is always very busy and has a nice, lively atmosphere to it. There are also a few good clubs around here if you come here at night.

4. Brick Lane

You should visit Brick Lane for its culture and lively atmosphere. It is a great place to go in the day or night. There are some nice shops and restaurants around here and you will always find that there is a lot going on.

5. The London Eye

The London Eye gives you a spectacular view of the whole of London. I have been on it many times and it is a unique experience. You can literally see across the whole city when you are at the top. Highly recommended for anyone visiting London.

So here you have my top five places to go in London. These are just a few suggestions and you will find that there are plenty of other fantastic places to visit.
