A Visitors Guide To Vienna Austria
By:Thomas Smith

The country of Austria consists of nine states; one of them being Vienna. In addition to being one of the nine states Vienna is also the capital of Austria. So when it comes to this country, Vienna is the place to be. It is easily the biggest city in the entire country, and also has the highest population. The city of Vienna is the home to nearly 1.6 million people. And with all of these people comes a variety of cultures, beliefs, and religions. This makes Vienna one of the most fully diverse cities in the area.

Before you can travel to Austria you will need to know where it is located. Believe it or not some people have no clue where Austria is, or how to get there. But generally speaking, it is not difficult to find in the slightest. Austria is located in Central Europe, and is close to countries such as Slovakia and Hungary. The close proximity to these countries helps to keep the tourism industry at a steady pace.

Taking a trip to Vienna can be tons of fun. It may not be the most popular tourist destination in all of Europe, but Vienna can definitely hold its own. The culture is different than anything else in the area, and there are many attractions that you will be able to see when in the city. Vienna has a long history of culture, particularly in the arts. There are several theaters in Vienna that are considered to be the best in the world. Visiting these will really open your eyes up to the rest of the world. The Burgtheater is most popular, and you will want to make sure that you see every detail that it has to offer. In addition, Vienna is home to several museums that house some of the best art in the world.

When planning your trip to Vienna take into consideration the weather. If you are looking to go during the warmest months your best bet is anywhere from June to August. During these months temperatures are usually between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. But on the other end of things the winter months can get very cold and drop into the 30s. Visiting Vienna is fun during anytime of the year. Just make sure that you know what the weather is going to be like during your visit so that you can pack your clothes accordingly.

The Vienna International Airport is the best way to get in and out of the city if you are an international traveler. In 2005 alone, more than 230,000 flights went out of and landed at this airport. It is among the best airports in Central Europe.

The tourism industry in Vienna is not great, but it is holding steady to say the least. Even though people do not look at Vienna as a great vacation destination, after you have been there once you will definitely want to go back the first chance that you get.
