Places to Visit in Prague

In order to be able to plan your trip itinerary for your stay in the city, here are some of the places that you absolutely must see in order to have the full Prague tourist experience:

The Prague Zoo is one of the most modern and spacious of the zoos in Europe, and it will be a unique experience for the adults as much as for the children. Visit the Botanical Gardens to see the beauty of the various plant life, and take a stroll through the Troja Chateau and its beautiful vineyards and gardens.

Visit the famous square names after the Czech St. Wenceslas, and see the state of the famous saint on the upper part of the large city square. Despite the fact that it is currently more of a center for shopping and commerce, there is still plenty of history to see in the beautiful square.

The Prague model of the Eiffel Tower, the Petrin Tower, is a must see for anyone visiting the city. During its construction it was the most advanced and modern piece of architecture, despite the fact that it is only 60 ft high. You can enjoy the beautiful countryside around the tower, take a few minutes to run through the mirror maze with your children, or visit the Strahov sanctuary for a truly historical experience.

Visit this beautiful castle for stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and visit the historical graveyard filled with the graves of many famous people. There is also an excellent park nearby where you can set your children free to run.

The Jewish Quarter is the historical home of many famous Jews from history, particularly Rabbi Low. You can also visit the oldest synagogue in Europe, which, legends have it, utilize stones taken from the original Temple of Solomon in the city of Jerusalem.

For one of the most impressive and breathtaking monuments to historical architecture, take the time to visit St. Vitus Cathedral. The cathedral is tied to many famous Czech legends, and there are a number of graves dedicated to famous historical figures.

Visit the Old Town Hall to gawk at the Astronomical Clock, one of the world's most famous astronomical clocks. See the statue dedicated to Czech reformer Jan Hus.

The Charles Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Prague, and you can visit the beautiful bridge spanning the Vltava River. There is a museum dedicated to the Charles Bridge, and you should take the time to walk through its halls to learn about this beautiful work of art.
