One of the jewels of the Mediterranean is Malta, a small island country with a big heart. The first recorded mention of Malta comes to us in the biblical tale of the shipwreck of St. Paul. This little island nation is only around 316 kilometers square, and is part of a chain of islands, including Gozo, Cominotto, Fifla, and Comino, although most people live on Malta, the main island in the chain. This little country has a lot of character, charm, and beauty. • Becoming your most beautiful you at a lush spa, such as the Lotus. Malta is home to several full service spas.
• Discovering where the knights of St. John defended Christendom and retrace the footsteps of St. Paul in an open air museum.
• Enjoying the food. The Maltese really know how to cook, and a meal of pasta, vegetables and meat is typically served up with deserts and fruits. Be sure to try the stuffed octopus and the rabbit that has been stewed in local wine.

• Lounging on the beaches of St. Julian’s or Sliema. These fabulous sandy beaches are ideal for soaking up the Mediterranean sun.
• Stopping by a prehistoric underground temple – the Hypogeum.
• Taking in the nightlife. Visitors are wowed by the nightlife in Malta, which is centered on St. Paul’s Bay and Paceville. It is there that one can find night clubs, bars, and discos for people of all ages.
