When I teach the future tense I spend a lot of time with:

.. am going to.. (see the two verbs?)
.. will go .. (two verbs again)

and I also show the less common forms of Future Intent. For example..

..am thinking of...
..am planning to..
..am intending to...

or
.. will think..
.. will plan to..
.. will intend to..
