In response to Re: Re. Buckland Group (Jose Lee)

Hi

I taught in China two years ago through Buckland. I too thought I was going to teach in Guangxi province. When I arrived i spent three days at the offices in Yangshuo waiting for what I thought would be a school in that province. Well come Friday I was told that I was being sent to a school in Zhuzhuo in Hunan province. This place was like Pitsburgh, factories and railway yards everywhere. I was dumped in Shitsville where I spent five months. When I had problems with the school Owen Buckland said he would sort it out which he never did. Do yourself a favour and contact schools directly so you know what you are letting yourself in for. Ask to speak to current and former teachers. Even though the place was shit I made some great friends. Definetly go to China, but make sure you do tons of research on the school, area etc. Good luck!!
