i disagree with the previous respondent. lying is a critically important part of the job-seeking process and particularly with regards to the landing of the first job. if you don't lie you're putting yourself at a severe disadvantage with respect to the competition. success at lying involves the ability if not to totally convince, then at the very least to educe respect from one's target in making unavoidable a concession for the plausibility of the fabrication, and this in itself requires more than a modicum of linguistic talent, which - after all - is one of the fundamental skills governing selection of successful applicants to such positions...
