Japanese Pronouns And Japanese Adjectives
By:Brad john

When you start learning Japanese you first have to learn and thoroughly memorize the script i.e. hiragana, katakana etc. Next comes one of the most important parts which is the Japanese grammar. While learning Japanese when you are taught basic grammar you can naturally start speaking a little Japanese. While talking in Japanese it is very important to use grammatically correct sentences so that you can convey the right message to the listener. The basic and most important elements of Japanese grammar are the particles, different forms of verbs, adverbs, nouns, adjectives and pronouns. When you are able to use all these elements correctly then only you can read, write, speak and understand Japanese language correctly.

When we talk about the Japanese adjectives they are divided into two main types. The first one is called the i-adjectives and the second type is called as the na-adjectives. The i-adjectives are named so because the adjectives end with an β€œi”. Similarly the na-adjectives end with β€œna”. These adjectives can be changed into different tenses by following some basic rules. In the same way there are some other rules which these adjectives need to follow when a verb comes after them or while joining two adjectives. These rules are very easy to understand and remember. Another important thing which you need to remember is that there are some na-adjectives which look like they are a part of the i-adjectives. Therefore study these adjectives very carefully. Once you know these rules thoroughly there is not a single percent of you making any mistake while using Japanese adjectives.

Similar to adjectives, pronouns are also an important part of the Japanese grammar. In Japanese grammar there are three different sets of pronouns which are used for the same purpose of showing the location or place of objects and people. However there is a minute difference between these three sets which you should have knowledge about before using them either while talking, writing or listening. In addition to these of course there are many other Japanese pronouns also which you have to study.

As far as the JLPT exams are concerned there are questions related to Japanese adjectives and Japanese pronouns. The tricky part of the exams is that they provide you with four options for answering the same question. In short, exam is completely based on multiple choice questions. When you are asked to select the most appropriate one at times you get confused because all the four seem to be correct. Hence you should know the meaning of each and all possible details about the words which will help you select the right answer.

Along with the other things which you need to prepare for the JLPT exams study the pronouns and adjectives also as they are a crucial part of the exam. Knowing adjectives helps you to express your thoughts, feelings, ideas etc. So use them correctly in your conversation and prove your fluency in Japanese.
