In Response To: OOOOH!!! PILSUN KOOOORREEAAA!!!! - ESL in Korea (Joe Sullivan)

You mentioned the phrase "Important Nation", when you wrote something about Koreans. I don't think they really are "Important Nation" to me though they might be very important to you. And for the Koreans, only the whites from the west especially people whose native language is English are "Important Nation" but not you as far as teaching English is concern.

Because of my recent contact with a Korean recruiting agency and Koreans with whom I met with, I came to know that they are not Important Nation in the world but rather discriminators of educated person in the area of teaching English and other nationalities apart from native English speakers. Even the South Korean government gives favour to the white ones in offering a teaching English job and even in giving the working permit as well. And there are some people from my country who are capable of doing something very well who we call them experts haven't been given a legal status in their country but treat them as refugees without giving them their rights to get appropriate visas.

In this case, those experts should be given legal status if they want to be called Important Nation. And even some doctorate students from Myanmar in South Korea are given just a manual work to do during summer holiday or just as a scholarship whereas the Korean high school graduates or AA degree holders can work as an executive officer to rule over those doctorate degree students in a different way. Oh my dear, a country of Christianity doesn't make any progress in the area of human rights and this country is nothing better than the place where social injustice is practicing for other nations in their country.

Do you think Baan Kimoon, the UN secretary from Sounth Korea care about this? I think he is the one who started this injustice systems in his country which eventually make him the UN secretary by giving a lot of favour to the whites damn rich and powerful people. In return, his people in South Korea give the whites too much favour that the whole country may puffed up their knowledge as if they were the real genius people because of the power of the west. Finally, it may become worse and the Korean people and government will put all other Asian nations under their feet, I am afraid. It's effecting others even now in China, a communist country where I have been teaching English for 5 years. Say that you know the education system and how to give jobs to different people and nations of the world and you talk something against the native English speaker which is right with the educational rights to a Korean recruiter or Taiwanese student in your class, you will be fired and kicked out of your job. That the practices even in China now which the communist party should take it into consideration. If you are a Christian, it is getting worse. Oh my God! What a terrible! Christians to Christian!

They are not Important Nation at all. They are like one of my relatives who never had any education but started a car workshop since his childhood. He finally became rich in his middle age and was able to build fabulous building in the city. As he was getting famous, he thought there was no one who could compete with him and did all shorts of things to become the most powerful man in town without considering his family, people and generation but failed because he was death in his 40s and his family becomes the poorest ones again.

If things are going to be like that continuously, it's time for the UN recruiter to consider things properly not only for themselves but for the whole nations of the world to take a new step for this generation and generations to come. CHANGE should be made very soon!!!!

It's easier to call them "What A Terrible and Discriminating Nation" rather than to call "What An Important Nation".
