I've been doing this for about 4 years now. Privates on the side that is. Nowadays I get prepaid every month. If they want 3 times per week for an hour each class, I charge 500,000. If they want twice a week for an hour each, 400,000. When I do private business tutoring I charge alot more. (they've got more to spend) Classes should be no less than 40 thou per hour. Business classes should be no less than 50. Be very careful though. I've got the F2 visa myself so it's no worry, but if you are on the E2....well you know the rules. Make sure you know these parents well, or have known them before. If they just came up to you in the street one day asking for a tutor, don't go for it. Just my warning.
