ESL stands for "English as a Second Language." ESL tutors teach English to nonnative speakers and learners of English. Most schools in South Korea have ESL tutors to assist their students to not only better understand the English language, but also to learn more about various aspects of English culture.

Search for schools in South Korea seeking native English tutors from the United States, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa, and apply for employment with them.

Receive an employment contract, upon acceptance, from the school and have the school provide you with information such as housing arrangements, and pay schedules.

Apply for an E-2 visa, which is a special visa required to work in South Korea as a foreign language teacher, at a South Korean Embassy or consulate near you. Provide them with the employment contract as well as any other paperwork provided to you by the school that hired you.
