Do they give a period for one to exit the country?
They normally would always give you a "grace" period to exit the country. To be sure, you should ask them what the period would be in your case should you have to exit the country at some point of time. Do not rely on user responses from on here and make sure with immigration yourself. Not to do so could really get you into trouble!
