Motivation Advice - 7 Keys to Getting Motivated
By:Anthony D Carter

Motivation is available to you when you need it. It does not matter if you have faced setbacks or disappointments. Even if you have loss your momentum you can get it back. Here are 7 keys to getting motivated.

1. Reward. It is necessary to give yourself rewards along the way especially if you find your motivation waning. One of the best ways to get motivated again is to start giving yourself rewards when you reach certain milestones.

2. Dream. If you find yourself getting discouraged or disappointed then you need to revisit your original reason for doing the task in front of you. In other words focus on the benefits of your actions rather than the work involved.

3. Stay Steady. Keep a level head. Do not let your emotions get the best of you. Try to keep yourself on point with what you have to do. Simply focus on your actions and ignore the situation that you find yourself in presently. If you continue to do what you should do then it is just a matter of time before your situation changes for the better. Your work will eventually pay off. Once you begin seeing positive benefits you will become more motivated.

4. Read. Read inspiring uplifting biographies of successful people who have done what you want to do. It transfers belief to you. You begin to feel if they can do it then you can do it.

5. Focus. Keep your attention on what you want and off of the challenges that you face on the way to getting what you desire. Remember, where your attention goes your energy goes. It is hard to remain motivated if you continue to focus on the problems and the struggles that you are facing. Think about the benefits that you will enjoy once you get what you want. This will motivate you to want to do more.

6. Support. Get the support of people who believe in you. Tell your family what you are attempting to achieve. They will hold you accountable and encourage you when you are feeling down.

7. Journal. Record your daily experiences in your journal. When you do you will give yourself a written record of all of the events in your life. So often we cannot see our progress while we are working on our goals. It is easier to see our growth when we look back at our journal entries from time to time. As you study your growth you will be inspired and motivated to keep moving forward.
