Confidence - 8 Things About It
By:Mayodrei Esguerra

Self-confidence is a quality that is most admired by people. Who would not agree? A confident person stands out in a crowd and able to set everyone on fire.

1.) Well, being self-confident is not about being perfect; it is about being excellent. Someone does not need to be perfect in appearance, perfect in attitude, nor perfect in all aspects of life. It is just a matter of loving your reality, accepting your flaws, and excelling where you are good at.

2.) Self-confidence is truly not about being your fantasies. Though positivity is a big score in confidence, you must first be aware of who you are. React and act positively without losing your real identity.

3.) Know your abilities and disabilities. Remember that you are not perfect. Sometimes you fail just like other people do. Just do not let yourself get drowned with it, for it may cause self-inferiority and insecurity on your part. Do not ever tell to yourself that you are a failure because you are not. Sometimes, things just do not turn out right like what you have thought it would. Mistakes are ways to know your limits and your strengths. Learn from that. Use them as stepping stones towards your success in life.

4.) Just like problems, failure is inevitable. It would be more helpful for you to list down all your little good deeds everyday. It will help you to boost your confidence in case that you fail. Use it as a proof that you do not always mess up. Always think positive.

5.) Emotion is so powerful that it can over empower your way of judgment and movement. Bad feelings can cause series of mistakes. Good feelings can cause you series of success. So, handle your emotions carefully.

6.) Our loved ones have the greatest impact on our feelings. It can be painful for us to hear criticism from people whom we expect to support our decisions all throughout. The right way to respond to these criticism is to recognize which is constructive and which is destructive. Take the constructive ones and use it to improve you. Trash the destructive ones and let it bounce off. What is important is you base your identity on what you can honestly say who you really are.

7.) We are our own worst enemies when we keep on finding flaws in our appearance and personality and not accepting the compliments that others say to us. We should stop looking at situations like it is to make or break us. The world is not only black and white. We must not let our emotions to over empower the way we look at ourselves. We should not be coward in accepting compliments. It would be much better if we accept these compliments with a grateful smile.

8.) And lastly, we should not look forward to problems and failures whenever good things happen to us. Let us enjoy the present moment. Self-confidence is about on how we think of ourselves. Be your own friend and let yourself grow. Enhance your inner beauty. Always vote for yourself. If you will not love yourself for who you are - who will?
