A Few Ways To Build Your Self Confidence

There are many exercises that you can do to build your self confidence. Some confidence building exercises you can do are fairly easy. Most people use confidence building exercises in a positive way, whereas there are a few who use it to dominate people. How you use your confidence is totally up to you. Good leadership is everything that is right and is meant to include and involve dominant people.

Confidence building exercises are meant to build character and respect. When you are completing such exercises it is always a good idea to keep a notebook or journal of some sorts. This is a good idea so that when someone, stranger or person in which you know, pays you a compliment you can write it down for future reference. When you are feeling a little down you can always reference back to help bring your spirits back up.

Another of the confidence building exercises that you can perform is to face something that you have been putting off due to lack of self confidence. One example of this would be to face a situation that you have otherwise been avoiding. So if you have been avoiding any sort of social settings such as parties, nightclubs, or even church now is the time to face up and visit one. Also if you have been thinking of changing jobs or even applying for a job because you did not have enough confidence to handle the interview process, this would be a great self confidence building exercise.

When doing your confidence building exercises make sure that you do not include any negativity. In your journal make sure that you write down all of the positive things about you so that you know your strengths and weaknesses. It will make it easier to figure out what areas you need to work on and improve. Take a little time for yourself everyday for meditation. Meditation can really clear your head and let you focus much better than if you have a lot of things on your mind. Picture yourself in different sort of settings and situations and practice saying in your mind what it is that you would say if you were ever in that situation. Throughout the day thinking of positive things that you can say about yourself and repeat them until you are confident and then move on to another subject that you feel that you should work on. In time you will have very high self confidence and you will surprise not only yourself, but everyone who is around you.
