Stress Management - Don't Be Too Hard on Yourself
By:Michael Sanjaya

Everybody needs to work in order to survive. We all need food, shelter and clothing. But some people are not contented enough of what they have. Such manner would give them the tendency to work even harder even if what they have is already enough to keep them by with life's basic needs. If you're one of these people I am talking about then let me tell you one thing, you are being too hard on yourself. In fact, you don't even recognize it.

Working hard to live a wonderful life is not a bad thing. But if you are working too much that could cost you your health, then you need to assess yourself. Ask yourself "Am I being too hard on myself?" One of the many problems that workaholic people are experiencing is stress. And because of it, most of them are getting unhealthier each day. Studies have shown that workaholic people are more likely to develop fatal health problems such as cancer due to work-related stress. Now you wouldn't want to end up having cancer after all your hard work. You wouldn't want to spend thousands or even millions of dollars for treatment because you have a heart failure problem or even cerebral problems.

So I tell you my friend, don't be too hard on yourself. Don't let stress kill you from working too much. There's a huge difference between working hard and working too much. Once you feel stressed out, make sure to get some rest, just enough for you to start your day right the next day. You also have to consider unwinding with your friends and family once in a while. Don't just focus your life in working. You also have to live wit love and care from others. It would also be better if you will have someone to be with you all throughout your life; a lifetime partner if I may say.

Go out more often as well. Keep in mind that your life doesn't only work in the four corners of your office, but it does also exist with the rest of the world. Socialize with a lot of people through parties and night-outs. Live a normal healthy life in fighting stress. Don't bring your work at home. When you're done with your work, leave it in your office. When you get home, it would be the best time to relax.

Now that's a stress-free life. Avoid being unhealthy by living normally and happy.
