I've never given you a poem, never given you a rose
Never given you anything to make you really know
How your beauty shows and sings from the inside out
And how it still resonates even when you're not about
With my mouth I'll shout "it brings me joyful tears"
And how it silenced even my heart's deepest fears
No surprise, I find released peace from your smile
Reconciled, consoled beneath its hold like a child
Brightness in your eyes, exuberance from your smile
Amplified, intensified, some of the words I could find
Yet none can describe a beauty so sublime
A smile I realize frees me from emotional demise
A smile that brings bliss to troubled minds
A smile that makes me smile all the time
Every moment with her now worthwhile
A smile that heightens my life beyond the skies
A smile that no earthly being could ever deny
Even as they try, to your smile hearts subside
Beauty from your eyes, a sweet kiss from your lips
With your smile no one could resist this gift
But now I feel a shift, it's not what I remember
For your smile has parted ways with your beautiful face
Maybe misplaced, even worse replaced
Maybe a mishap, could be it's kidnapped
No smile to bring this ugly world beauty and grace
No trace, Not a place, no where to be found
Unknown to my presence, a smile now upside down
Not a sound, not a feel, not even in your eyes do I see
Your smile lost beneath a sea of saddened unfamiliarity
Could it be, has your smile been taken away from me?
Sealed within the hardened walls of a caged heart
Buried under the fiery depths of haunted memories
It melts away 'til there is nothing left
I cry for I can no longer embrace your smile
The world dies for a beauty is no longer inside
Nothingness in sight, darkness covers the light
To see your smile again I put up one last fight
To embrace your smile again I say a few words
To see your smile again I would give my world
Give my heart, play my part, for a start change my fate
Just to see your smile I would take its resting place
For I hope it isn't too late, that I can save her in time
Take my life Lord just so I could save her smile
For it is a blessing to this world of strife and grief
'Til my very end this will remain my firm belief
Beauty of a smile that few understand, yet most can see
Even with your imperfections your smile is still perfect to me
...and so are you
