Resume and Interview Tips

Writing Your Own Professional Resume Made Easy
By:Douglas Quinn

Writing your own professional resume may seem like it is a difficult task, but anyone can write one. Creating your own professional resume is all about formatting and organizing the material in a manner that is easy for the hiring manager to read. They normally only spend about 60 seconds scanning your resume before moving on to the next one. So it is important that you write your resume in a manner that will catch their attention right away.

It may seem like a difficult task when you are creating your own professional resume. Writing your own professional resume is not really that difficult, when you know what you are doing. Hiring Managers only spend 60 seconds reviewing each resume, so it is important that you format and write it to get their attention right away.

Crate an objective
Your resumes objective is like a mission statement about your career. You are going to communicate to the hiring manager what you want to get out of being hired for the position.

Document Your Skills
You should already know what skill sets the employer is looking for from their job posting. Make sure those are the skill sets you list first on your resume. Do not list the skills if you do not have them. Some employers are willing to help train you if you are missing a skill set.

List Your Experience
Let the hiring manager know what type of relevant work experience you have. If the position is an entry level job, then you probably do not have any relevant work experience. Simply list your past employers and the dates you worked for them. If you do have relevant experience, then list the employers and provide a detailed job description for each position that you held.

Education Counts
Make sure you add any education you have received when writing your own professional resume. You sent the money getting the training and know is where it is going to pay off.

Writing your own professional resume is an easy task when you know what you are doing. Remember that you need to catch the hiring manager's attention when creating your own professional resume.
