Luoyang Normal University is the ideal school for foreign teachers in China.

The dean, the foreign teacher academic coordinator, the Chinese English teachers, and the foreign affairs officer all made me very happy to work there. Plus a nice office and a nice dorm. And the students are terrific, every one of them. The FAO kept me informed, handled problems immediately, and processed my paperwork efficiently.

Louyang is also an ideal city for foreigners. Clean, beautiful. Lots of trees and grass and bushes - it's like living in a giant garden. Friendly people. Lots of malls and markets. Then there is the lady they call Grandma, who organizes lots of English activities and invites to the foreigners to participate.

This was the best job I've ever had.

Only one problem. Everyone is being moved to the new campus, which is miles from civilization.
