If your average Joe want to have a crack at teaching writing (especially in Shandong) well, a meek heart never won a fair lady! Your Shandong uni will give you a book and if you don't understand 'inverted commas' or editors bracket from parentheses, then just google it before putting together your lesson plan for the coming week. When you get into the classroom you can appear quite cocky, hahaha! Even bang your head on the blackboard if you think them students is a bit slow on catching on. Mind, only native speakers should attempt this as it can spread confusion if you yourself don't understand the definitions/meanings- with words like brackets and braces, the mind boggles if them foreigners get hold of them.
