Come to Paradise, come to the Valley Isle, come to Maui

Maui nicknamed as the Valley Isle is the second largest of the Hawaiian Island, covering an area of 727 square miles. This island was formed from two volcanoes and it’s also considered one of the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands. Pu’ukukui is the highest peak standing at 5,788 feet and this wonderful volcanic island also boasts of a great variety of landscapes, resulting from a unique amalgamation of geology, topography, and climate. It’s also well known as the leading whale watching center where the endangered humpback whales take shelter in winter to give birth in the warm waters off Maui.

As a matter of fact, Maui’s economy is quite intact. Has a solid financial and economic activity, low debt burden, its county government managing its policies. Sugarcane and pineapple are the main agricultural source and tourists from the mainlands of U.S. and Canada is quite profitable. In fact their mild and uniform temperature makes it one of the ideal spot for vacationers.

Blessed with amazing white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, Maui is a luxury spot for sunbathing, snorkeling and snoozing. Well it’s also great for shopping and sightseeing. In fact the old whaling town of Lahaina boasts some quaint shops and assorted art galleries. Then there is the waterfall fed pools at Oheo Gulch, one unforgettable site to relax and breathe in the view. And don’t forget to relax in Wailea for a luxurious spa treatment after all the excitement of shopping and sightseeing.

Maui is famous for honeymooners too. In fact, it’s great for family vacations where everyday one can spend a mega time on a different beach, or trekking through the bamboo forest and hiking up a volcano path. Name it and its all there. Especially the Maui Ocean Center featuring an open ocean tank with a walk through acrylic tube is just wonderful for kids.

Visitors of Maui Island go on talking about how pleasant the trade wind feels, surrounded by some fragrant flowers and exotic nights. Year round, there are some cultural events or traditional celebrations or the other. Choral concerts, jazz pianists, comedy shows and Polynesian drumming competitions are some of Maui’s attractions. One never gets bored while in Maui. It offers some amazing historic and cultural attractions, mesmerizing your imagination in this magical isle. The town of Lahaina will take you back to the days when the town served as an important whaling port while the Lahaina-Kaanapali and Pacific Railroads offers a memorable trip into the plantation past.

No wonder the tourists can’t stop gushing about the magical island of Maui. From its glittering waterfalls to the romantic, sunset cruises and the never ending nights exploring Maui’s exciting nightlife. Its one mega vacation spots indeed.
