Top 7 Important Tips How to Get Cheap Flights
By:Benny Horowitz

There are several ways to cut on your travel expenses, but rather than staying in cheaper hotels, visiting fewer places, you should try to find and buy the cheapest airline tickets. Here are some tips to do so:

1. Buy your ticket directly from the airline companies
Travel - agents do not necessarily look for the best prices for their customers. Hence, a solution would for you to book the flights directly on the website of airline companies. If you are a regular customer or you sign up for their newsletters, you may even get additional discounts and frequent - flier miles.

2. Compare offers
If you are doing yourself the flight reservations, you should also use the search-engines or the sites dedicated to compare hundreds of companies best offers. All you have to do is insert the date, time and departure/arrival destinations and you will be an "enter' away from the best fares available on-line.

3. Avoid high - season travel
Cheapest airline tickets come with the ins and outs of high seasons, and with the low seasons. Thus, it is vital that you find out what are these periods for your target destination and book a flight accordingly. Not only, you will have a more peaceful vacation as not so many people will be traveling at that time, but also you may actually save a lot of money on your ticket.

4. Plan in advance
If you still want to fly during high season, it is highly advisable to book your flight way in advance. You get he ticket at a good price and you even have the chance to pick your favorite place on the plane!

5. No week-end travel
Avoid traveling on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, considered to be week-end days and charged extra by the airline companies. Unless, you are flying with a company favoring the Saturday night stay- over rule (spend a Saturday night at the destination and get a cheaper ticket), choose a flight during the week in order to get a cheaper ticket.

6. Be flexible
If you do not mind traveling by night or flying to or from secondary airports, you will save quite a bit on your airline ticket because the companies will offer considerable discounts for travelers to use these under - booked routes.

7. Catch last minutes offers
Great deals can be made if waiting for last minute offers. Airline companies would usually advertise last minute deals, so as to fill up the plane to certain destinations. Keep your luggage ready and fly away cheaply!
