4 Tips For Better Writing Results
By:Krystalina Soash

For a freelance writer, sometimes things can get a little overwhelming, and in this field it's feast or famine, sometimes writing projects are just oozing out of the woodwork, other times you wonder if anyone even knows you have a writing business. The following are four tips to use as a guide for smoother sailing with your writing projects.

Four Tips for Better Writing:

1. Information Gathering: When doing research, always have a special place for your gathered information. Remember to always place the source of that information at the bottom of your sheet even if you're not planning to cite or use quotes. This is for future reference in case you need to return for details, it will save you time and energy.

2. Never bite more than you can chew: This may be tempting to do when you look at the projects coming in and you know you need the work. Don't take on seven writing projects when you know you can only handle four at a time.

3. Stay focused: Be aware of which project you're working on in the moment, especially if you're working on two or three projects at a time, it can become confusing. You may not think so in the beginning when the information is clear; however after a while the information and details start to blend with each other.

4. Be honest with yourself: If you just want to work on a huge writing project for the money and really have no interest or just hate that topic, please don't take it on. It is a disservice to your client as well as to yourself. Besides, it will show in your work.

We like smooth sailing when it comes to working on a writing project; we get better results. So next time your writing project seems to be overwhelming, use these four tips to help you trouble shoot so you can move on.
