How to Write More Articles Faster
By:Sean R Mize

One of the biggest challenges in article writing and article marketing is how to write enough articles.

In fact, I was discussing this with some of my clients today, in fact that the reason that article marketing (or at least one of the reasons) continues to be such a great way to drive traffic is because it is not easy to do. You see, with PPC or with banner ads, or even with Facebook or Twitter, you can just pay someone to generate a whole bunch of clicks for you (of course you hope they are targeted). But with article marketing, you can do that. And you cannot pay per click or per action.

You either have to write the articles yourself, or you have to pay someone to write the articles. But in paying someone to write the articles, you are not going to get paid on the articles for some time into the future.

In my case, sometimes it is several months from the time I pay someone to write an article before the first sale comes from that article. Of course it is fine, because I am earning revenue now from articles written in the past (in fact, I still make money from some of the articles I wrote as long as 4 years ago).

So if you are writing the articles yourself, the faster you can write them.

There are a few things that are predictive of how long your articles take to write. One is how well you know your material. You see, if you know your material inside and out, like an expert, or perhaps you are an expert then you won't have to spend time researching for each article.

Take this article, for example, I selected this topic to write on, then I just started writing. I didn't have to do any research, because I personally know everything I am writing about.

And the second thing is your typing speed. Once you know your material, and you don't have to do research, then you are only constrained by how fast you type. For example, this article is about 400 words, and I type at about 60 words per minute, so this article has taken me about 7 minutes to write. And the truth of the matter is, I really should type faster!

So if you aren't typing as fast as you want to, if your articles take you 30 minutes or more because you type too slow, I suggest taking typing lessons. Of course, if you know the basics of typing, where your fingers go on the keyboard, etc, then just practicing will make your writing go faster. I remember when I first started I typed at about 20 words per minute, and after one year it was about twice that! All from practicing in writing 1500 articles my first year online.
