In Response To: Xiangnan University simply not the best choice (Phil Robinson)

Well, I thought long and hard about replying to this response and decided that I will clarify a few things.
First of all, I am back in the states and working already after three weeks. I am not sure why you would accuse me of not being able to find a job.

Next, when you got "sick", they took you to the clinic, on campus, and you recieved several injections, which were paid for. They do not charge the teachers in the clinic.

You DID NOT honor the contract, you broke it by LEAVING and therefore they are not required to pay you anything because you breached the contract.

Regardless of if these people are my friends or not, you, Phil Robinson, are giving false information about your experience and I am just setting the record straight about it.

Any school in the world would have done the same thing. You taught for a couple of weeks and missed those classes because of your "illness", but they were very accomodating and to be honest, I would have never have mentioned anything if you didn't trash the University for your breach of contract.

These schools work very hard to recruit people and there are lots of stories about schools failing to honor their contracts, but this one did a very good job with all those who worked through any problems with them. There was another teacher from South Africa who went home for six weeks because of an emergency and they helped him get home and were more concerned about his family than the time he missed. He made up most of the courses and he was even paid for the time he was gone-- all this for a first year teacher!

Phil, just stop this silly tirade. You know you made a mistake--just move on and do something else. I am growing tired of having to respond to your childish rants. Your an older man, take the higher road....
