You should dig a bit deeper than that. It's not only "the thugs in history" that love animals. There are people who hate people and love animals instead. And for sure, there are also people who like other people and like or even love animals. What does that tell you?

Why should I dig any deeper, what I said wasn't meant to be profound or even particularly clever? It wasn't tight, for close scrutiny. And I didn't suggest that people who aren't thugs couldn't love animals, or indeed suggest any other variables on the theme. Would you like to inform us what you're driving at? What do you think of animals, are they decorative or a blot on the landscape? Do they smell to high heaven, or have that rustic aroma, like a reassuring pipeful of 'Old Shag?' Take it away maestro.
