No, there is hope for you. I am Mexican and I teach in China. But I'm white and was educated in the USA so I look and sound the part of "Big Five" teacher. Nevertheless, there are some schools that specifically want Filipinos to hire over native speakers.
I guess some Filipino's have more knowledge about grammar and are easier to handle. What province are you in? Send me a private message and I can give you the names of a few people and places to look.
