Inexpensive Hotels in Hollywood

In 2009, Los Angeles was visited by close to 24 million people in 2009. The city is not only known for its Hollywood film industry, there are also many tourist and sightseeing attractions including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sunset Boulevard and the Hollywood Sign. Visitors can stay at one of the many inexpensive area hotels that give easy access to many of Hollywood's attractions.

Hollywood Historic Hotel
The Hollywood Historic Hotel is located on Melrose Avenue, in the center of Hollywood. Melrose Avenue is known for it's many shops such as Slow, Red Balls and Von Dutch. Shoppers can also browse through second-hand clothing at Aardvark's and Wasteland. The legendary Fred Segal store is also on Melrose Avenue. Just down the street, hotel guests can visit Mann's Chinese Theater and the Pantages Theater. The hotel was built in 1927, and can be recognized by it's red-brick building. Guest rooms come with refrigerators and free Wi-Fi Internet access. On-site parking is available, and free of charge. As of October, 2010, room rates start at $50 per night.

The Hollywood Hotel
The Hollywood Hotel is one block from Hollywood Boulevard, and affords easy access to attractions such as the Hollywood Bowl, the Walk of Fame and the Kodak Theater. Guests can enjoy live music and dinner at the Catalina Jazz Club and dancing at the Moroccan-themed Akbar nightclub. The hotel greets guests daily with a complimentary breakfast. Guest rooms come with free Wi-Fi Internet access and flat-screen televisions. Off-site parking is available for a nightly fee. The facility has smoke-free and no-pets policies. As of October, 2010, rooms at this hotel start at $59 per night.

Rodeway Inn Hollywood
The Rodeway Inn Hollywood is within walking distance of Hollywood Boulevard, with attractions such as the Hollywood Palladium and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Shopping areas like Rodeo Drive, Sunset Boulevard and Melrose Avenue are a short drive away. Restaurants like Hamburger Hamlet, Hooters and the Geisha House are within walking distance of the hotel. The facility has 27 rooms that each come with refrigerators and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Every morning a complimentary continental breakfast is served. An outdoor swimming pool is on the premises. As of October, 2010, room rates at this hotel start at $80 per night.
