Now in tthe trailing end of the knob spindle there's a female thread to take the screw that holds the interior knob: however, my garage door is so old that said thread is a 'whitworth thread' (spelling?) so I couldn't use the old screw on the new knob. So, had to spend an hour in loft looking for a screw (now I know what what SB feels like) We all know what sodding use a knob is without a screw. Found it eventually and Her Chineseship's bike is back in the cosy garage.
