My passport was damaged by a personnel working inside the bank. he was trying to photocopy my info page, but the teller told him it was not clear enough. he photocopy it again, and again. i have a friend who witness the whole thing when he photocopy it for the third time. the way he handle my passport, like flipping a small pocketbook without care and just fold it in a certain way that's not supposed to be fold was the reason why the passport got damaged. i tried to go to the bank for how many times, i first requested. but it turn out they dont respond well to nice approach. So i've demanded reimbursement. In the end, they just gave me a letter of the incident, in CHINESE (how the hell should i understand that?!) and just say chay chien! I did not recieved any apologies. instead, i became the flash news of all the gossip within the bank employees. and instead of being ashamed of the incident, the bank teller even laughed at my face. Lesson learn: i will be closing my account with this bank (Bank of Communications).
As of my damaged passport, i just inform my embassy. i'm schedule to go there and apply for a new one. All COST will be paid by me.
