The visa given to me was an X2 visa, not a Z.

I guess that the school Enfly had allocated you has no official permission to hire foreign teachers, direct or via an agent. Hence the failure to get you a proper work visa for there.

Probably the school is a middle school in a small city or a county town. Don't asuume that the cost of living there will be cheaper than in a big city. Big cities in Sichuan are generally much cheaper in terms of the cost of living, between 20 and 30 percent!

Yes, you're right about Enfly being an outfit to avoid.
